Roadie is improving developer effectiveness in engineering organizations across the globe. By helping companies adopt and use Backstage, the open-source developer portal and service catalog developed at Spotify, we are making developers' lives easier and more productive.
We are a fully remote, seed stage startup, backed by some of the best investors in the DevTools ecosystem. From developer first VC firms like Boldstart, to individual angels like Guy Podjarny - the founder of developer focussed security company Snyk and Adam Gross, the ex-CEO of Heroku.

What does my day to day look like? 📅
- As one of our engineers you will build out a scalable, secure and highly available solution built on AWS that will host Backstage for our customers. We use Typescript, AWS Lambdas, EKS, FluxCD, Terraform, and other exciting modern technologies.
- Be free to move across the stack and build frontend features, backend and infrastructure.
- We do continuous deployment, we contribute to the open source community and we prioritize healthy on call practices.
- You will contribute to the company roadmap and build new product features and systems from start to finish: through conception, research, maintenance, operation, feedback gathering and polish.
- You get to collaborate with kind and brilliant engineers that used to work in Spotify, Workday and Prezi.
- Our customers are other lovely developers just like you and you will get to improve their day to day work by building the best developer portal.

Job requirements
What skills would we like to see? ✨
- 5+ years or more of experience in Software Engineering
- Proficiency in a high level programming language
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Experience designing and operating highly available, highly secure systems
- Experience with any Infrastructure as code tool (terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- A college degree is NOT required but equivalent work experience is
- Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes
- Bonus: Have experience in TypeScript/JavaScript
- Bonus: Have Terraform experience
- Requirement: you must be a resident in Europe (Timezone UTC-1:00 - UTC+2:00)
